Starting Point: Mudhurst Lane, 1st lay-by on the right.

Start Time: 10.00am.

Directions: From the traffic lights in the centre of Disley, coming from Stockport, turn right onto Old Buxton Road. After approx. 1.5 miles is Mudhurst Lane on the right. Turn right here and continue for approx. a quarter of a mile, the lay-by can be seen on the right handside.

Grade: moderate/strenuous

Terrain: Tracks, fields, woodland, several stiles.

Fabulous views of Kinder Scout, Shutlingsloe, Bleaklow, Coombs Reservoir and Todd Brook Reservoir, still undergoing restoration. The walk also includes the Lantern in Lyme, and a curiosity in the shape of the Dipping stone on Whaley Moor.
