Meeting 9.30 am at Crowden carpark to walk at 9.45 am. 

We trace figure eights round Rhodeswood, Valehouse and Bottoms Reservoirs which involves crossing two dams twice and walk one side of Torside Reservoir. Unfortunately, due to the permanent temporary closure of one footpath we have to repeat a short distance that we will have already walked. 

Route to Crowden 

From Brabyns Carpark turn right and bear left through the lights. You are on the Glossop Road (A626). Follow this through Charlesworth and Gamesley until you reach a T-junction at Dinting where you turn left onto A6016. Keep on this road, bearing left at the little roundabout at a dilapidated building.  At the next lights turn right (Gun Inn). You are now on the Woodhead Road (A57). Follow the road through Tintwistle and you will see a sign for Crowden on the left. About half a mile further on the left you will see a blue sign for a carpark and toilets, turn there. The car park is the first turn on the left. Parking is free but it can be busy at weekends.
