My walk is approximately 7 miles and will start from Quarry Bank Mill Car Park, Styal SK9 4HP.

Please meet at the bottom car park at 10 am for a 10.15 am  start. Parking is free. 

NB: Turn right, rather than left when you get to the bottom car park at Quarry Bank, and park in one of the two car parks on that side. As it is term time there may well be coaches needing to park on the left hand side for school visits.

When coming from the direction of Hazel Grove take the A555 Manchester Airport Eastern Link Rd. After approximately 6 miles, keep in the left hand lane and  turn left at the major junction onto the  B5166/Styal.After just over 1 mile turn right onto Quarry Bank Rd. You will also see a National Trust sign for Quarry Bank. Go straight ahead  to the bottom car park.
The walk is a combination of woodland, riverside paths and a couple of fields. There is also quite a bit of climbing up and down steps.  There are  no stiles.   Toilets at the beginning and at the end of the walk.
