The walk will start from the canal basin carpark in Whaleybridge at 10 00 and be about 4 miles,

Leave Marple to Strines and New Mills to the A6 at New town!  Follow the the A6 for about 2 miles to the first roundabout

.  Tur  right and alongside the canal and just before the pedestrian crossing turn hard left back on yourself tothe carpark. Expect a few stiles and little mud
