DESCRIPTION:Walk for 9th April.  Start is the track by the Bugsworth canal basin.  From the A6 at Bridgemont take a very sharp left immediately after the rail bridge on to the B6062\, brown signed Bugsworth basin.  ( If you miss the turning\, continue on the A6 for 300ms and go around the roundabout and try again). After a mile\, turn right in front of the school and drive slowly to the basin.  The track is on your right;  you can turn around along the track in front of a portacabin. \n\n\n\nG.R. SK 023 821  post code SK23 7NE \n\n\n\nStart at 10.00\, route :-  ascend to the quarries north of Cracken Edge\, Alders Farm\, PBW north of South Head ( not over South Head)\, Malcoff\, Wash and return via the tram way.  Approx 12 miles \n  \n\n\n\n12 miles\, moderate

SUMMARY:D Walk - Secret Garden
DESCRIPTION:Please forward the walk details to the Thursday D Group for this weeks walk to The Secret Garden in Hazel Grove.  \n\n\n\nMeeting at 10.15 for a 10.30am start on Buxton Road (old A6 before the bypass was created for A555\, near Jacksons Dairy). Ample parking on Buxton Road\, parking on the left hand side– a nearby post code is SK7 6NA. (Please NOTE do not go over the bridge further up the road\, as this is for Buses Only and there is an active camera.) \n\n\n\nThis walk is 5.5 miles with mixed terrain\, country lanes\, two short hills at the beginning across fields\, but mainly flat pathways and tracks\, there are several gates and no stiles. We will start the walk down Norbury Hollow then up across the field and down a track towards High Lane before turning again towards Hazel Grove with a flat walk to the tall walled Secret Garden for lunch. Then a short walk through the park and back to the cars. \n\n\n\nFrom Brabyns head back along Station Road to the lights opposite the Texaco/Coop petrol station\, turn right and follow Stockport Road past Rose Hill Station to the second set of lights at ‘Seventeen Windows’. Turn left at the lights (filter lane)\, follow Offerton Road until it becomes Torkington Road turn left at the lights at the Bulls Head. Continue along the A6 (keep in left lane) past the BP petrol station on the right straight through the first lights past the end of the A555 and turn right at the next lights onto (old) Buxton Road and park on the left hand side. Do not go over the bridge further up the road\, as this is for Buses Only and there is an active camera. Approximately 15 minute drive. \n  \n\n\n\n5.5 miles\, moderate
