DESCRIPTION:The walk on Sunday will start in the village of Over Haddon. \n  \nIt is a circular walk that goes along both Lathkill and Bradford Dales. The route goes through Alport\, stays below Youlgreave and then follows the Limestone Way before returning along Lathkill Dale to Over Haddon. \n  \nIt is a moderate walk of c. 7.5 miles with one steep\, but short climb out of Bradford Dale and a second\, gentle climb back to the starting point. \n  \nDirections to Over Haddon: \n  \n\nTake the A6 to Buxton and then on towards Bakewell\nShortly after Ashford in the Water\, turn right up Crowhill Lane.\nAt the T junction turn left as far as the B5055\nTurn right and follow the signs to Over Haddon\, turning left off the B5055\nFollow the road as it bears right through the village\, and the car park is signposted to the left \nThe walk starts from the main car park in the village where there are toilets.\n\n  \nThe total distance from Marple is around 25 miles. \n  \nWe will meet at 10.00 for a 10.15 start. \n  \nPlease share cars where possible \n\n\n\n7.5 miles\, moderate

Car sharing is recommended. \n\n\n\nThere are also car parking spaces on the road after you drive past Tesco\, further up on the left-hand side. Alternatively\, there is parking at Tesco’s car park on the FAR SIDE of the petrol station\, which is a 5-minute walk to the Canal Street Car park. \n\n\n\nTime: 09:45 for a 10:00 start. \n\n\n\nWalk: We will along the canal and up to the main road\, then cross over and follow the path under the railway. We then follow the paths through Hockerley and will take a long climb over Whaley Moor and\, weather permitting\, beautiful Spring views of Kettleshulme and Bowstones. After our coffee break we will continue across the moor before gradually dropping down into Scar Wood for lunch. This woodland walk will continue along Todd Brook and through farm tracks until crossing the road and eventually joining the Memorial Park and back to the start. \n\n\n\n The terrain includes stony tracks\, wide grassland paths\, country lanes\, narrow woodland trails and MUD! DESCRIPTION:Distance is just over 7.5 miles and moderate. Car park is £6.60 for the day so consider car sharing. Arrive at 9:45 for 10:00 start. According to Google maps\, the distance from Marple to Millers Dale Car Park is about 22 miles\, 45 minutes (or less if no traffic problems!).  \n\n\n\nWalk starts at Millers Dale Station Car Park and along the Monsal Trail towards Chee Dale through three tunnels. At Chee Dale\, there’s a climb up a zig-zag track along the Pennine Bridleway towards Tunstead. Before reaching Tunstead\, we turn right towards Wormhill and then continue to Monk’s Dale. Instead of walking down Monk’s Dale\, which is horrible\, we take the road to climb up out of Monk’s Dale to Monksdale House and take the track to join the Limestone Way to Millers Dale. Then join the Monsal Trail to return to the start. \n\n\n\nDirections \n\n\n\nDo not put the SK17 8SN post code in as this will take you to Millers Dale and not the station!  \n\n\n\nSo from Marple go towards Buxton on the A6 and either go via Buxton or turn left at the traffic lights in Dove Holes to go via Peak Dale\, Haregatewall and Wormhill to Millers Dale Station Car Park. If you don’t fancy the cross country route\, then go into Buxton and continue on the A6 towards Bakewell. After a couple of miles\, take the left-hand turn (B6049) towards Millers Dale and at the bottom of the hill\, turn left (Sign posted Wormhill and Monsal Train Car Park). The road climbs up the hill\, go under two arched railway bridges and then turn left into the car park. \n\n\n\nIf you do fancy the cross country route\, then it’s left in Dove Holes onto Dale Road. Turn left at the junction with Smalldale Road and then turn immediately right\, signposted Wormhill/Millers Dale. Continue on this road through Wormhill and when the road descends after a sharp right-hand bend\, turn right before the arched railway bridge into the car park. \n  \n\n\n\n7.5 miles\, moderate

DESCRIPTION:10.15 start \n\n\n\nMEETING POINT \n\n\n\n Mam Nick car park ( S33 8WA) Parking free for National Trust members or £6 all day  for non members  It is perhaps worth noting  we are NOT walking up Mam Tor but are iinstead heading in the opposite direction towards Peak Forest \n\n\n\nTHE WALK  \n\n\n\nThe walk itself is a delightful and interesting walk  with great views over the Peak District throughout  plus a landscape including  numerous examples of grass covered hillocks and hollows that are the surface remains of lead veins and mines\, the hamlet of Old Dam .and Eldon Hole once thought to be the entrance to Hell. There are a mixture of fields \,footpaths\, tracks and quiet lanes (usually!!). Fingers crossed for the weather which at the time of writing was dry!DISTANCE \n\n\n\nApprox.7 miles \,moderate with some ups and downs with a few stiles DIRECTIONS \n\n\n\nTake the A6 towards Chapel -en -le Frith .Just past the Aldi roundabout  bear left and then left again towards Castleton and Mam Tor ..Continue along this road for a couple of miles and you will see a wooded area with the Mam Nick carpark on your left. It may also be possible to park on the large layby on the right .  \n  \n\n\n\n7 miles\, moderate
