Directions:

From Alderley Edge Village turn left opposite the De Trafford Arms on to the

B5087 Macclesfield Road. After approx. one mile the NT car park is on the left. 

CP is free to NT members, otherwise it’s £8 per car only, passengers share the cost.. There are lay-bys in close proximity. 

Meet at the NT Information Board 10 for 10.15 am. start in the CP.

Description of Walk

The walk includes a medley of curious rocks and stones, caves and ancient

copper mines and quarries, all tucked in glorious woods of beech and pine on a sandstone escarpment, with intermittent far reaching views of Cheshire, Lyme Cage and Derbyshire. We walk on, to Over Alderley, from where Sutton Mast, Croker Hill and Jodrell Bank can be seen.

The majority of the walk is flat with well marked paths. Dogs are welcome, as there are no cattle. Please note: If the weather is inclement the walk may be cancelled
