My walk on 2^nd April 2026 is Godley, Tameside,  parking post code SK14 3BJ

The walk is 5 miles, over varied terrain, a couple of stiles, a long steady climb at beginning but no hills.

For parking: proceed to Market street, Hyde.  Halfway down Market street, turn right at traffic lights at Union Street, right again at next traffic lights – Morrisons, Mottram road.

Stay on Mottram Road for about 2 miles to Godley station on the left, just before a bridge over the road.   Turn right before the bridge at Station Road and park there. 10.15 for 10.30 start. 

 

5 miles, moderate
