Given the weather forecast for a warm day, we have decided to start the walk earlier than usual, but at a moderate pace.

Start is at 09.30 from the bus shelter opposite the Crispin, Main Street, Great Longstone DE45 1TZ . Grid ref SK199 718

I have tweaked the route twice, once to avoid replicating the walk two weeks ago, and again given the forecast. It’s 10 miles ( but I can shorten it), we do ascend Longstone Edge twice, once each morn and afternoon. 

Route:-  Longstone Edge, Housley, Foolow, Eyam ( lunch /loos), Stoney Middleton, Coombs Dale and Bleaklow.

Please, as I know you will, bring plenty of water, large floppy sunhat, suntan lotion.

Top tip, bring an extra bottle of water to leave in the car, from the fridge/freezer, to drink after the walk.
