Mileage: approx 12 miles, 2000ft ascent/descent 

Route: Brierlow Dale, Back Dale, Deep Dale, Wye Dale, Woo Dale, Cunning Dale, Kings Sterndale, Horseshoe Dale

It’s an interesting link up of various little known dales with classic, at times dramatic, limestone scenery. Some stiles, some gates.

Although the majority of this walk is straightforward,  there are some steep gradients and challenging terrain eg Deep Dale is rough with slippery stones and small boulders. We escape out of it ASAP but the escape route is extremely steep!
