This Thursday’s walk begins just outside Monyash. We start down Lathkill Dale before heading up to Magpie Mine and then onwards to Ashford and Monsal Head. From here we return to our starting point via Monsal and Deep Dales.The distance is about 13.5 miles with 1650ft of ascent.

Parking is on the B5055 about half a mile E of the village centre. There is a lay-by on the N side of the road opposite the dale entrance, or, if needed, a similar lay-by on the S side of the road just a little nearer the village.
