PARKING: at grid ref 058 821, what3words player.fishery.nerd or see the map below and park at the location shown by the blue dot with a white circle around. It’s off-road parking just over the railway bridge on the left hand side. Alternatively, there is more off road parking if you follow the blue line below towards Breckend and before you join up with the main road, again on the left hand side.

WALK: 13 miles, 2300ft ascent taking footpaths/quiet road to Sparrowpit & onto Perry Dale where pick up Pennine Bridleway to Eldon Lane End farm, ascend Eldon Hill, descend to the quarries and onto Bull Pit, Rushup Edge, cross over Colburn Tunnel, Malcoff, Wash.

START TIME: 9:30 as close by and mainly to mitigate the worst of the wet weather arriving that day. If this is a problem, then please let me know.
