My walk will leave from outside the church at Alsop en le Dale at 10am. It’s an easy/moderate of 10 miles with a total ascent of 1554 feet. From the church there’s a 10 minute up to cross the Tissington Trail

and continue to Hanson Grange to drop into Dovedale. Along Lindale to Thorpe (honesty shop in a phone box for fudge, cake and other goodies), then following the Limestone Way to Parwich and little used field paths back to Alsop.

DIRECTIONS and PARKING 

There’s a fair bit of parking outside the church where the road is wide and limited parking further on in the village. If another group is there, you can park at Alsop Station car park on the Tissington Trail. Simply go back up to the main road and turn left, it’s on your left, costs £4:75 payable by card or RingGo. As we pass through there you needn’t walk down to the church we’ll scoop you up at about 10:10.

Take the A515 out of Buxton for @15 miles, turn left clearly signposted to Alsop (half) and Parwich (2 and a half). Don’t be tempted to take the left before there signposted to Alsop Moor by a big truck lay by. It took me an hour from Offerton, about 25 miles.
