The details of this week’s Walk are as follows:
Start Time – 10.00am.
Start Point – Gradbach Car Park GR SJ 998 662 (nr. the Scout camp & Gradbach Mill) 

There is a reasonable amount of free car parking at the start point.
There are toilet facilities near the start point at Gradbach Mill (not sure about when open).
The weather forecast is for a 50% chance of light rain with a stiff breeze and temp of approx 8 deg C.

This a moderate walk that hasn’t been done for a while and is familiar to a number of the B’s.

On route to the Roaches we will have the opportunity to stop at Lud’s Church (Chasm) and a further stop at Hanging Stone.

Lunch will be on the Roaches Edge with superb views over Cheshire & Staffordshire.

(Historical note-Lud’s Church has a renowned place in history and legend. In the early 1400s the chasm is said to have been used as a secret place of worship for Lollards, reforming Christians who were opposed to many practices of the Roman Catholic church and who were persecuted for their beliefs.) I would advise that, as a rough guide, I am anticipating that it will take approximately 45min and is about 18 miles from Hazel Grove to Gradbach car park.
