Description    Down into the Wye valley from Monsal Head, along the river into Ashford, onwards to the outskirts of Bakewell, up across to the tops to the Monsal trail, into Greast Longstone and back to Little Longstone.

Easy walking…..except the are two sets of stepping stones to cross flowing streams one of which is tricky and we shall be on hand to help you across. Lots of mud but a lovely stroll along the river. Two shortish climbs and and only two stiles. Some road walking.

We should finish in time for your evening barbecues making use of the first of the longer days.

Sorry to those looking for a challenging walk….its not your usual up hills and down dales.
