C Walk – Capesthorne / Redmere

REDESMERE AND CAPESTHORNE HALL; 7 miles easy walking on country lanes and field tracks in glorious Cheshire. There will be a couple of gentle slopes, about 10 stiles, two major road crossings, and even a small jungle, (OK, a corn field). This walk is unsuitable for dogs.
We will meet at Redesmere at about 10am, and start walking at 10.15.
From Brabyns drive to Hazel Grove.
Turn left onto the A523 towards Macclesfield.
Turn right onto the A555 towards the airport.
Turn left onto the A34 towards Wilmslow.
Drive to the roundabout at the end of the dual carriageway. Take the 2nd exit towards Congleton.
At the 3rd set of traffic lights go straight on.
After about 2 miles you will see a building on your left. Take the next turn on the left onto Redesmere Lane. Nearest postcode is SK11 9JR.
Shortly you will see the lake and parking on your left. I will meet you there.
The distance from Brabyns is about 19 miles, and the driving time is about 40 minutes. There are no toilets on this walk.
Post walk drinks can be had at the closest pub, The Davenport Arms, Congleton Rd, Marton, SK11 9HF.
