This weeks walk is in Clark Green, Adlington. Meeting 9.45 for a 10am start from Holehouse Lane Car Park, free CP, Holehouse Lane, Adlington, SK10 5SR.

The walk is 7.5 miles, Moderate, with mixed terrain of pathways, tracks, woodland and some fields, with several stiles but mainly gates along the way.

Starting from the Car Park we head down the canal and across tracks to Whiteley Green and continue across Adlington. After lunch we proceed to Styperson Pool and upto Long Lane and the panoramic views before descending back to Clark Green and the car park.

How to get there: from Marple you can go either to High Lane or Hazel Grove and then through Poynton village on the B5092 London Road North and continue on B5092. This will merge left onto A523 London Road. Continue through the traffic lights at the Legh Arms, (Toby Pub), on the A523. There are some temporary lights further on, go through these and then a sign on your left for the Windmill Pub, turn left down Holehouse Lane, continue for a mile, just over a bridge next left Rushmere Close and immediate right for the car Park. There is about 20 spaces, so if you can car share that would be good. The journey from Marple is about 25 minutes.
