The walk itself is a delightful and interesting walk with great views over the Peak District throughout plus a landscape including numerous examples of grass covered hillocks and hollows that are the surface remains of lead veins and mines, the hamlet of Old Dam .and Eldon Hole once thought to be the entrance to Hell.
There are a mixture of fields ,footpaths, tracks and quiet lanes (usually!!).
Fingers crossed for the weather which at the time of writing was dry!
