The walk will start in Hazel Grove at the junction of Mill Lane with Old Mill Lane. (The nearest postcode is SK7 6DW). You will enter Mill Lane at the ‘Fiveways’ junction, Macclesfield Road. Drive almost to the very end of the road and you will find Old Mill Lane on your right.

I suggest car sharing where possible and you may prefer to park on the side roads off Mill Lane rather than on Mill Lane itself. Don’t double park as Mill Lane is on the 374 bus route!

This is an easy and flat walk of 7.5 miles with just one stile.

At the time of writing , rain is forecast for Thursday, so waterproof clothing is advised.  The majority of the walk is shaded by trees, so we should be partly protected from rain to some extent. (Having said that, the first half mile is not covered, so feel free to use an umbrella on that bit if rain is very heavy!!)

Whilst the walk is 95% flat, there is one very short slope, which isn’t very steep at all, and is grassy- this bit gives us a panoramic view without any tiring climbs.

Please meet at 10 am for a 10:15 am start. We will gather at the junction of Mill Lane and Old Mill Lane.

Those Thursday walkers who also walk on Sundays may have done this with me already, a couple of months ago.
