The walk will be Padley Gorge, Burbage Moor, Higger Tor and returning to the gorge via Hathersage Moor and the Millstone Edge. It is a moderate and varied walk of 7.4 miles. The walk will start from Grindleford Station, Upper Padley, Grindleford, S32 2JA.

Directions

The easiest way to get to Grindleford Station is as follows:

• Take the A6 towards Chapel en le Frith
• At the Chapel roundabout, turn left on to the A623 towards Chesterfield
• After passing through Stony Middleton, take the left turn (A625) at the Calver traffic lights
• Immediately after the lights, bear left again on to the B6521
• Follow the road through the village of Grindleford and as you leave the village, the road to the station is on the left-hand side.

There is parking on the approach road to the station. It is managed by RingGo and the cost is £4.40 for the day.
