Meet Nelsons Pit SK121TH

From Marple travel to the A6 via Torkington Road. Turn left then right at the third set of lights onto Norbury Hollow Road then immediately left onto Middlewood Road. After about half a mile, pass Davenport Golf Club on the rhs then shortly turn left onto Anson Road. Nelson’s Pit will be facing you. Car park charge or park on the road opposite the pub. Alternatively travel to Poynton centre, left at the roundabout onto Park Lane, after less than a mile turn left onto Shrigley Road to Nelsons Pit.

Short walk along canal to West Park Lodge then up a sloping lane to Lyme Park.

Descent then back to canal. One ladder stile.
