The walk will start at 10.30am. from the main carpark at Lyme Park. SK12 2NR.

A pleasant, scenic, moderate 4.5 mile walk with two steepish uphill climbs . Some stiles.

Anyone looking for a three mile easier option can leave the walk early and also avoid the second climb. Instructions on the day.

Admission to Lyme is free to N T members and now £7 to non members. 

In recent months some walkers who are non members, have chosen to get a lift from a an NT member, alight their vehicle before the payment kiosk and walk the short distance beyond the kiosk before being picked up again. 

This may still be possible, however I have noticed the wording on their website has changed slightly.

It says The house, gardens, parking,  play areas and walks are free to members only.

I am not sure how to interpret this. 

It may be trial and error.
