Meet at 10:15 for a 10:30 start.

Parking: On road parking at the Shilo Road junction..

Directions: Turn left out of Brabyns Park and right at the traffic lights. 

Continue straght ahaead, through Mellor and up to the Shilo Road crossroads.

.At the crossroads there are signposts to the left for Rowarth.

Park on the right on Bogguard Road or Pole Lane.

The walk: A Walk of about 4.5 miles (easy/moderate) taking well defined tracks we pass The Pack Horse Inn, through Whitle, onto the Fox at Broadbottom.

Climb up to Mellor Cross. Visit Shaw Cairn and return to Shilo Road. 

The is one downhill to the Pack Horse Inn and a climbs up to Whitle and Mellor Cross. There are about 5 or 6 easy stiles,
