My walk for 4^th December 2025 is local (to me, anyway).   Starting in Woodley

and parking in Gravel Bank Road, (post code SK6 1PS)  which is the road opposite Woodley station.

We will walk down into Tame Valley, then heading towards Gee Cross and ascend up to Werneth Low .  There is a slight variation down and back to the cars.

Distance – about 5 miles,  no stiles, one drawn out climb.

10.15 for a 10.30 start. 

In view of increased numbers in our group, can I suggest car sharing 

or even come on the train.  There is a train from Rose Hill station at 10.11 which will arrive at Woodley 10.20 – ideal for the start.

There is a train back at 14.14, next one at 14.44  which should cover the day.
