Following our recce today and the weather forecast for the next few days, we have decided to cancel the proposed walk from Wormhill and replace it with a local walk.  The replacement walk will start from Guywood Lane in Romiley.  For those who have never started from this location, if you are driving through Romiley from Marple, turn right into Guywood Lane just before the railway bridge.  If you are approaching from Stockport turn left immediately after going under the railway bridge.
We will be walking to Marple Bridge and onwards towards the Roman Lakes. The route takes us through Mellor and Mill Brow from where we head to Ernocroft.  We then descend through the woods to our lunch spot at the picnic tables in Etherow Park.  After lunch we head over Werneth Low and return to Romiley.

We apologise to anyone who is disappointed at the change to programme but promise the walk will be rescheduled to a later date.
