Sunday D Walk 26th July Tatton Park 5 easy miles 

Meetingat Tatton Street Carpark at 10 am  to start walking at 10.15 am.  We enter the park through the Knutsford Drive gate, walk alongside Tatton Mere, curve round toTatton Hall to use the toilets at the Stables and then return walking alongside the garden  to the monument  with Melchette Mere on our left. There will be coffey and lunch breaks.

Route to Tatton Street Carpark (WA16 6AG) 

I tried  the Google Maps sat nav  and found it took longer and was more circuitous than my normal route so here is my route from Stockport taking the M60 and then the M56 towards Warrington and turning off at Dunham/Lymn to go to Lymn. 

Follow the Lymn road until you come to traffic lights where you turn left.

Follow that road to the end where you turn left onto the A50 for Knutsford. Continue on the A50 until you reach the outskirts of Knutsford (large houses with gardens then smaller houses) and look for a large high signboard on the left for Knutsford Football Club and shortly past there is Garden Road where you turn left, Be careful because cars are parked on one side so only one vehicle can drive through at a time but the road is short and at the end you turn into Tatton Street. The car park charges are reasonable at £2.40 for up to 4 hours. Payment is by card.
