My walk on Thursday will be around the Fernilee Reservoir & pathways close by. From Marple, head for New Mills & then the A6 towards Buxton for a few miles; then turn right at the roundabout towards Whaley Bridge & continue through the high street & straight over the traffic lights towards Buxton on the A5004. Continue for about 2 miles until you’ll see a 50mph sign followed soon after by a red ‘Ramp Ahead’ sign on the R/H side of the road, after which you take the right hand turn & continue down the narrow road & after a few bends you arrive at the start of the Fernilee Reservoir, where there is free parking. Meet at 10.15am for a 10.30am start.

As the weather forecast is for almost freezing temperatures, the walk may only be about 4miles rather than a longer distance of 6miles. At 9.30am
