We head south from Eyam heading towards Black Harry Lane and Black Harry Gate. More about the vagabond Black Harry on the day.

From Black Harry Gate we enter Rough Side and then Coombs Dale before climbing out of the dale to arrive at Stoney Middleton.

From Stoney Middleton we climb up and over to return to Eyam and the tea shops. Finally we will follow footpaths back to the car park.

Meet at 10am for a 10.15am start.

Parking

Park in the Eyam Parish Council Car Park. This is on Hawkhill Road.  Post Code S32 5QP. It is just past the Derbyshire Dales District Car Park.

Be careful not to park in the Derbyshire Dales District Council Car Park which is where the toilet block is but go a further 50 metres to the Eyam Parish Council Car Park which is free. There is an honesty box on the left at the entrance to the car park which I’d encourage member to put a few coins in to help maintain the “free” nature of the car park.
