D Walk – Carrbrook

My walk on 4th April is Carrbrook. The post code for parking is SK15 3PJ and is 11.5 miles, one way from Brabyns.
From Marple Bridge take the Glossop Road A626 for 3.7 miles to Charlesworth.
Turn left at the George & Dragon pub onto Long Lane through Broadbottom & Mottram village, going ahead at the traffic lights to the mini roundabout. Take the first exit onto A6028 towards Stalybridge.
After 2.3 miles, turn rights at the second set of traffic lights onto B6175, signed Millbrook.
Follow Huddersfield Road for 1.9 miles, passing Copley leisure centre on right and then going down a steep hill.
At a mini roundabout (convenience store on left) take second exit onto Buckton Vale Road. Follow this road, taking a slight left onto Carr Rise. Buckton Vale car park (managed by Tameside Wardens) is on the left.
The walk is 5.5 miles. Meet up at 10.15 for a 10.30 start please. Hope to see you there.
